Background:
The University Senior Management Team has approved a standard set of core committees and key postholders to support Heads of School. The committees include a School Executive, described below: To comply with this, the SMMSN has revised its former executive committees and groups and the changes take effect from January 2022. The two-weekly meeting of the Institute Directors with the HofS continues. The School Executive has been revised, as below:
School and Institute Leads for Education, Research and EDI:
The School Leads will be part of the School Executive. The Education and Research Leads already chair the Education Steering Group and the School Research Committee. The Institute Leads for Education and Research will be invited to join these committees. The School EDI Co-leads will join and assume the chair of the School EDI Committee. The Institute EDI Leads will join the Institute EDI Committees.
