RIISS Co-Director Moving On

RIISS co-Director, Dr Sarah Sharp is taking up a new position, as Lecturer in Scottish Literature, at the University of St Andrews. During her time with RIISS, she has spearheaded the development of the ‘New Voices in Irish and Scottish Studies’ initiative, which was shortlisted for a Principal’s Excellence Prize in 2023, and saw the publication of a special issue of the Journal of Irish and Scottish Studies in 2025. She was also instrumental in the development of the reading group on nineteenth-century Scottish culture. Her work enhanced the life of the Institute, and we wish her every future success.
