Building Partnerships and Friendships: My Journey at Experience Qatar
2025-09-09

As a Business and International Relations student at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, I was eager to gain real world insight into how businesses build meaningful partnerships and navigate the corporate landscape, and my internship with Experience Qatar gave me just that. This summer, I had the opportunity to join Experience Qatar as a Corporate Relations Intern, and it turned out to be a journey full of learning, growth, and new connections. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into a professional yet supportive environment that encouraged me to grow both personally and professionally.

During my internship, I worked closely with the Corporate Relations team, where I gained hands-on experience in engaging with partners, supporting events, and contributing to the development of client relationships. Each task, no matter how small, gave me a deeper understanding of how corporate relations play a vital role in connecting businesses and creating opportunities.

Beyond the professional skills, what made my internship truly memorable were the meaningful friendships I built along the way. Collaborating with colleagues and other interns taught me the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and communication in a fast-paced setting. These connections are something I’ll always carry with me.

Looking back, I can confidently say that my time at Experience Qatar has been a wonderful steppingstone in my career journey. It not only helped me discover more about myself and my aspirations but also inspired me to continue pursuing opportunities that challenge me and allow me to grow. I am especially grateful to AFG College with the University of Aberdeen for providing the academic foundation and encouragement that prepared me to thrive in this internship.
