Research

Research Overview

I apply a wide range of computational and experimental techniques to solve engineering problems.

I have used computational thermodynamics to design, optimise, and run pilot-scale production trials of novel cement. I've written particle dynamics simulators to simulate granular dampers that we ran experiments on in micro-gravity on the ESA "vomit comet". More recently, I'm developing an electronic nose for the beverage industry trying to unlock low-cost chemical sensing and insight for all. At the heart of all this work is the co-development of software and hardware to solve engineering challenges.
