The Centre for Scots Law offers CPD and consultancy services for the legal profession, public bodies, businesses and charities. Its members have considerable expertise across a wide range of areas, including criminal law, evidence, family law, property law, contract law, insolvency law and other aspects of commercial and private law.

Previous CPD events have focused on topics such as rights ancillary to servitudes, boundary disputes, and advocacy skills for Scots lawyers. The following feedback has been received from attendees:
- "insightful and highly practical"
- "very well-presented and interesting - even to an experienced practitioner"
- "I learned a lot in an entertaining manner"
- "very informative and engaging"
- "excellent presentation, bring on more"
As well as pre-organised events, we are able to deliver tailored sessions based on professional requirements, whether in-person or online (live or recorded).
Members of the Centre for Scots Law can also provide expert written opinions, commissioned reports and assistance with legal research. They have previously undertaken such work in relation to matters of conveyancing, bankruptcy law, secured transactions and beyond, for law firms, public bodies and media organisations.
