Part of the School of Law LLM Development and Engagement Programme
Interested in qualifying as a solicitor or finding out what working in legal practice is really like? This seminar will explore routes to qualification in England and in Scotland, and offer practical insight into the transition from university to professional practice.
The seminar will be delivered by a practising solicitor from a leading law firm, combining guidance on the qualification process with first-hand insight into the early stages of a legal career. The session will consider workplace expectations, professional responsibilities, client work and the skills needed to succeed during the first days and months in practice.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about qualification, recruitment and early career development. The seminar is open to all current LLM students, whether you are actively pursuing legal practice or simply exploring your career options.
Refreshments will be served during the Seminar.
