Frequently Asked Questions
- Pricing

Prices are inclusive of VAT and are based on minimum numbers detailed in Minimum Guest Numbers section. Prices valid until 31st December 2026. All weddings confirmed by this date will be charged as these rates.
- Deposit and Payment Terms

A £500 deposit is required at time of confirming your booking. A payment of 50% of the total estimated cost will be invoiced 6 weeks prior to your wedding. A final invoice for your wedding will be sent 2 weeks before your wedding date. The balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding reception date.
Any changes or additions after your final invoice has been processed will be invoiced after your wedding date.
- Minimum Numbers

During peak months we have minimum numbers.
- September to May - 70 Adult Guests Minimum
- June, July & August - Friday's - 70 Adult Guests Minimum
- June, July & August - Saturday's - 85 Adult Guests Minimum.
We are happy to discuss smaller events, however such events will be subject to a minimum charge.
- Weekday Weddings

We appreciate that Friday and Saturday are the most popular days to get married and the prices in the brochure are based on this. If you
would prefer to get married between Monday and Thursday we can help make your money go further by deducting 15% from your final invoice.** Please note that the mid-week discount is not applicable on public or local holidays.
- Menu's

Each menu option features a wide selection of starter, main course and dessert offerings, including menus for special dietary requirements.
Simply select one item from the appropriate selections for your chosen package. Your Wedding Coordinators will be happy to guide
you on the menus, including evening buffet choice, as detailed in each of the menu selections.If you would like your guests to have more than one choice of main on the day, a supplement will be charged per person and added to your package price. A pre-order 2 weeks prior to your wedding day will be required.

The children’s menu price includes a soft drink.
- 5 and under - Free of charge (half portions)
- Under 12 - £15.00 p/person (half portions)
- 12 and over - £30.00 p/person (Choice between children or adult menu)
- Menu Tasting

We are happy to accommodate a menu tasting for you. Before we can offer this we require your booking deposit paid and a copy of your signed wedding schedule and terms and conditions received.
If you wish to try a 4 course menu, this will be charged at £59.95. 3 course menu charged at £55.00. This will allow for 1 plate of each course to be shared between 2 people. If you wish to try more than one dish per course, additional charges will be applicable. We ask that choices are limited to two per course.
- Venue Restrictions

We understand that you may have a vision in your mind about how you wish your special day to look. With that in mind, please note that helium balloons, confetti, smoke machines, indoor pyrotechnics and naked flames are not permitted for use within our venues. If you would like to have candles at your wedding they must be within a storm vase, on a candelabra or enclosed tea light holder. If you wish to decorate the venue please discuss this with your wedding coordinators who will go over options and restrictions with you.
- Table Linen & Chair Covers

White table linen and napkins are provided as standard. However if you would like coloured table linen and napkins, prices are detailed within the bespoke wedding package page and based on availability.
Both the King’s and Crown package include white fitted chair covers and your choice of coloured sash.
- Confirmation of Final Arrangements

Final numbers, along with menu, drink choices and table plans are required no later than 14 days prior to the date of your wedding. Once final numbers are received the full balance due is non-refundable. The final invoice will be based on these numbers, any increases in final numbers will also be reflected in the final invoice total. All prices are based on minimum guest numbers detailed within the pack.
Guest numbers may be reduced in the 2 weeks leading up to your wedding date but will not be refunded.
- King's College Chapel

For traditional wedding ceremonies, the Chapel is available to graduates, students and staff of the University and RGU. Should you wish to be married at King's College Chapel, please contact the Chaplaincy Centre directly.
