the planning and executing of the UKAS 2022 conference. They helped every step of the way, answering all my queries and coming up with great ideas and budget friendly solutions. The Events team - and the catering team - were very approachable and friendly on the day too, helping all the attendees feel welcome, supported if they had issues and were on hand to troubleshoot issues as they came up. The conference went without a hitch and I've received positive comments from a large number of delegates about how they enjoyed the event and how impressive they found the venue. The conference dinner in particular was excellent. I'd be keen to use the Events team for any similar, future events and have recommended them to colleagues.

The 2020 meeting of the British Liquid Crystal Society started life as an in-person event hosted by the University of Aberdeen, but the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in its postponement and later a move online to the gather.town platform. The CPD services team came on board for the online event in early 2021 and helped make the transition from in-person to virtual extremely smooth. Their support with event preparation, finances (including organisation of full or partial refunds from the postponed event) and day-to-day assistance via email in the run up to and during the event itself was invaluable. We were incredibly grateful to have their expertise on hand and would certainly recommend them to colleagues for future events.

Working with CPD means you're gaining assistance to guide you through the many options available when developing and delivering an event. You now have someone who knows the people and organisations involved in providing catering, hospitality, and other services in the city. I thought, having done this for a number of years on a smaller scale, that I knew lots about organising events already, but I found CPD knew much more, and also knew of options that I'd never considered. Use them, and you'll find your event goes smoother, as you're now working with experienced people.

This is the third of our international Gut Microbiology conferences that CPD Services have supported us in organising. It certainly makes it easier to have them on board - they deal with all the awkward logistics (booking venues for scientific and social activities, online registration, travel and accommodation for speakers) leaving us free to focus on creating a scientifically interesting, interactive meeting. They also run the registration desk and trouble shoot AV issues during the conference, freeing the organisers up to chair sessions and focus on the science and interacting with attendees. All in all a great service.

It was great to have the CPD Service team on board from the word go in support of this prestigious International Conference. We had a very long lead time to the conference, over 3 years. Because the CPD team were in there from the start, they developed an in-depth understanding of the conference's history and profile and were able to input their expertise throughout the whole process. The team's support was invaluable to me as Chair and took a lot of the general preparation into their hands which accordingly removed a lot of stress out of running the event. I would have no hesitation in asking them to help in any future events. In fact I don't think I would do another one without them.
