The University of Aberdeen is delighted to host a Confucius Institute in cooperation with Wuhan University, our partner University in China.

There are around 350 Confucius Institutes around the world, and the Confucius Institute of the University of Aberdeen is one of five in Scotland, the others being based at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh.

The Confucius Institute of the University of Aberdeen promotes language learning and cultural exchange, and its language classes, lectures, exhibitions and other cultural activities benefit the staff and students of the University of Aberdeen, the schools, businesses and communities of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland.

Do you want to get involved with the local community, add to your CV and do something rewarding with your free time?

The Confucius Institute of the University of Aberdeen aims to increase knowledge and understanding of Chinese language, culture and people.

We recruit volunteers to help with Chinese cultural events.

We are based at 17 High Street on the University of Aberdeen King's College campus in Old Aberdeen. The Confucius Institute is next to the Chaplaincy.
