Stress relief support sessions with Spud, the dog and Miranda

Spud and Miranda

Starting a new term, dealing with assignments, settling in to a new city, being far from home and meeting new people can be stressful and overwhelming.

What better way to destress than petting a dog while having a nice conversation with someone?

Their aim is to help alleviate the loneliness and isolation, and thereby improve people’s mental health and general well-being. They use the help of lovely dogs such as Spud, who will attend the sessions in the Suttie Centre.Founded in Aberdeen at the end of 2016, Pet and Companion (PEACE) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), providing counselling and therapy to people in need of support and companionship, such as students during stressful periods.
