Bringing the public, researchers and clinicians together. Café MED are a series of informal talks pitched at a very accessible level and that give ample time for audience questions.

A 2015 landmark court ruling in the UK has put the onus on health professionals to ensure that patient management plans (including birth plans) reflect how the patient, rather than the professional, values risk. So how do midwives and doctors get it right for every woman planning to give birth? We will discuss the research needed to answer this question.
