Vera's essay was named 'highly commended' in an essay competition organised by the Global Undergraduate Awards which is the world's largest academic awards programme. As a result Vera has been invited to Dublin, Ireland for the Global Undergraduate Summit. The essay was part of the course 'Memory Politics' taught by Tom Bentley.
