- Brian Buckley – Principal
Brian Buckley is the Principal.
- Michael Harris – Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs
Michael has over fifteen years of experience in the higher education sector, having worked with various British universities and higher educational institutions. He was a member of the senior strategic management team for a leading independent management school in London and for eight years worked as Middle East development manager for that institution. This role involved forging links between education establishments, government agencies and industrial sector multinational organisations to deliver capacity building programmes to managers in the Gulf region.
Michael has extensive knowledge of the region having worked with the Embassies of UAE, Bahrain and Qatar developing cultural links in the areas of education, law and the arts.
Michael holds a University of London BA (Hons), the Graduate Diploma in Law (BPP University) and an MSc Strategic Management from the University of Wales. Michael is currently Director of Strategic Communications & Public Affairs at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
- Rahaf Abuharb – Admissions Officer
Rahaf was born and raised in Qatar. She graduated from College of the North Atlantic - Qatar with a Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety. Rahaf worked as an executive secretary and a safety officer in a kindergarten in addition to a Field Consultant at Subway - Qatar.

- Mahmoud Adill - Senior Academic Administrator
Mahmoud studied at the University of Medical Sciences and Technology, in Khartoum, and holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Mahmoud has volunteered to work as an Assistant in the Administration Department at Essendine High School in London. Mahmoud enjoys swimming, reading and playing football in his free time.
- Mariam Alkobeissy – Senior Digital Content & Design Officer
Mariam AlKobeissy is currently the Senior Digital Content & Design Officer of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Lebanese International University in Beirut, Lebanon. Mariam has over six years experience as an Arts teacher and Social Media Designer.
Mariam enjoys and is passionate about creating new designs.
- Khaled Al Sharawi – Student Outreach Officer/Course Advisor
Khaled Al Sharawi joined AFG College with University of Aberdeen to fill our open position in the Marketing, Student Recruitment & Admission Team as “Student Outreach Officer / Course Advisor”.
He has a BA in Business Management from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.
He has of 3 years of experience at a privately owned business, prior to that he also had experience as an “Customer Advisor” for 2 years at Seevic College in the UK.
Khaled enjoys stargazing, reading, interacting with others and collecting.
- Razan Alwadi - Marketing Assistant/Design Officer
Razan Alwadi is currently the Marketing Assistant/Design Officer at the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department at AFG College with University of Aberdeen. She graduated from the Applied Science Private University, faculty of Design and Art in Jordan, 2019.
Razan is a fresh graduate with work experience while studying in the Graphic Design field with several NGOs and volunteer projects.
- Hafsa Kathloum Azouz - Personal Assistant to the Principal
Kathloum Azouz – known as Hafsa – is a Course Advisor/Personal Assistant. She graduated from the UK with a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and is a qualified teacher of English, with CELTA certification. Hafsa has nine years' experience in the field of education. She believes it is important that everyone should have access to a quality education and is committed to her part in providing prospective students with that opportunity at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
- Cindy Canete - Academic Administrator
Cindy Canete is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She gained her Associate degree in Information Technology in the Philippines.
She has more than 5 years of experience in the Administrative field from various sectors including trading, sales & retail and education.

Cindy loves reading, travelling whenever possible and is always keen to learn more. She is now studying calligraphy during her free time.

- Abdulkarim Darwiche - Course Advisor
Abdulkarim is a Course Advisor within the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Department.
He graduated with a Diploma in Information Systems from College of the North Atlantic – Qatar. He is ready to support our applicants and offer holders in his current position.
Abdulkarim enjoys sports especially the automotive related as well as many other aesthetic activities.
- Ghina Elkasti – Careers and Internship Manager
Ghina is the Careers and Internship Manager at AFG college with the University of Aberdeen.
She has obtained her MA. In International Education from SIT School of International Training, Vermont USA in 2014 and Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering from Qatar University in 2010.
She worked at Qatar University for 8 years, her latest position was the section head for Global Education and Student Exchange.
Ghina is passionate about intercultural learning and communications and teambuilding activities. She speaks four languages and is well known for her love for travelling and exploring different cultures.
- Marwa Elsidig – Student Disability/Wellbeing Officer
Marwa Elsidig is an officer of disability and well-being at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She has graduated from Qatar University with a major in Finance and minor in Marketing. With work experience as a personal tutor in the Academic Support Center and Special needs Centre, Marwa is fully dedicated to getting involved and helping the students at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
During her spare time, Marwa participates in non-profit voluntary work and is also seeking to have a master’s degree in the business field.
- Leyla El Helou – Student Recruitment and Admissions Manager
Leyla graduated from Notre Dame University in Lebanon with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration focusing on International Affairs & Diplomacy.
Leyla has a total of 16 years work experience in Lebanon, Kuwait & Qatar. She worked in the education sector in Qatar for 5 years in two organizations, HEC Paris & Northumbria University in the Admissions and Student Services departments.
- Hadil Fadel – Attendance Officer
Hadil Fadel is an Attendance Officer and a Receptionist. She studied in CNA-Q marketing administration major, Hadil has a 1-year experience in administrative field with AFG group. Believed in learning and growth, so she is working to enhance and add value on her field, and willing to help others.
- Jad Hardan - Group Director of Information Technology
Jad Hardan is The Group Director of Information Technology for AFG College with the University of Aberdeen and Al Faleh Educational Holding.
He provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative and secure information technology system throughout the schools under Al Faleh Educational Holding and AFG College with The University of Aberdeen.
Jad is holding a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Roehampton in London.
Before joining AFG, Jad spent more than 12 years in informational technology roles, especially in the hospitality sector. He managed more than fifty IT projects for Oracle Hospitality Products and Applications. Jad has travelled widely throughout the Middle East and Europe in the execution of a range of IT and applications development projects.

Sabra Hunais is an Academic Administrator.
- Mohammad Khawaj - Senior Course Advisor
Mohammed is a senior course advisor within the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Department. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan in 2014.
In previous roles, he has worked closely with customers and has a successful track record in customer relations, sales and recruitment.
- Riham Khazem - Marketing Team Lead
Riham Khazem is the Marketing Team Lead for the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
Riham is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with good knowledge and a passion for marketing and communications.
She adheres to an excellent exposure to marketing communications both print and online within various sectors with management skills and a determination to succeed within the workplace.
Before joining AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, she worked at several companies and educational institutions in Doha, Qatar - building her skills in strategic marketing and communications.
Riham holds a BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University.
- Koraljka Velnic Kovacic - Technical Services Librarian
I moved to Qatar in 2011 with my family. The move brought a major career shift, when I replaced nearly two decades of aviation operations with the libraries. Before joining the AFG College, I ran the libraries in Newton British Academy and Sherborne Qatar Prep school. I was also a Library Support Team member at the Georgetown University Qatar.
I obtained the MA degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University College of London (UCL), specialised in Leadership and Management in Libraries and Librarianship for the Education Sector.
I am keen on improving library collections and operations in all aspects, with the emphasis on inclusive services. I also believe that promoting information literacy and developing critical thinking and research skills are the key to raising the generations of lifelong learners.
I am excited to help making the AFG Learning and Resource Centre a leading learning and research hub in the region.
- Doha Mahir – Student Advisor
Doha was born and raised in the United States. She graduated from Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications. She worked at Qatar Airways for 2 years in Customer Service, prior to that she interned at Aspire Zone Foundation for the Marketing and Communications dept.
Apart from work, Doha loves traveling, animals and baking.
- Mohamad Mubashik - IT Technician
- Asiah Muaqat - Academic Administrator
Asiah is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She graduated in 2018 from Qatar University, with an Honours degree in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy. Prior to joining the University, Asiah gained 2 years of experience in the education sector, both in administration and as a teacher.
In her free time, Asiah enjoys reading, spending time with family, and going for walks.
- Reema Qublawi - Non Academic Manager
Reema holds a Bachelors in English Literature and Special Diploma in Education from Qatar University. Her work experience was mainly as a high school teacher at the Qatar government schools. Reema joined AFG College with the University of Aberdeen in the position of Non-Academic Manager.
- Lisa Reynolds – Head of Library and Learning Resources
Lisa Reynolds is the Head of Library and Learning Resources.
She has lived in Qatar since 2012 and worked at the Qatar National Library before starting at AFG. She has a M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also obtained her M.A in Museum and Gallery Practice at University College London here in Qatar.
Lisa's main interest area in libraries is information literacy instruction. She loves working in libraries and helping people fulfil their informational needs. She wants the library to be the heart of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
- Sherine Tabsh - Group Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment
Sherine is currently the Group Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment Departments at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen and Doha Academy Schools
Prior to joining the University, Sherine worked as Head of Business Development at the German Industry and Commerce Office Qatar and Public Relations Manager at the Qatari Businessmen Association.
Before moving to Qatar, Sherine last worked at the Customer Relationship Management Unit in the Retail Department of Bank Audi sal Audi Saradar Group, in Beirut.
She graduated from the American University of Beirut and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.
- Neveen Taha - Student Events Coordinator
Neveen Taha is the Student Events Coordinator.
- Sibagath Ullah - HR Partner
Sibagath is currently the HR Partner. He completed his Masters of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Madras University, India.
Sibagath has over 11 years of experience in the field of human resources management and is interested in sports as well as social media.
- Sarooj Zawahir - Systems Administrator
Sarooj is the IT System Administrator of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
He has more than 9 years of experience in design, installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and servers, specialising in Cisco and Microsoft.
Quickly learning new skills is one of his specialties and he is interested in implementing latest technologies.
Sarooj enjoys spending time with family and playing video games in his free time.
