Saiqa Andleeb - Director of Operations

Saiqa AndleebSaiqa is a strategic and results-driven senior leader with twenty years of experience in U.K higher education operations and transformation. In her role as Director of Operations, she brings a strong track record of delivering institutional change, enhancing student experience, and aligning operational excellence with strategic objectives.

Saiqa has previously held a series of influential roles at several UK Universities, in her most recent role as Director of Operations at the University of Wolverhampton, she delivered large-scale infrastructure programmes and student-focused operational strategies to drive improvements in institutional performance.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, Saiqa is committed to equity, inclusion, and enhancing organisational culture. She excels in managing multi-disciplinary teams and leading complex organisational projects across academic and professional service functions.

Saiqa is a Chartered Manager (CMgr FCMI ), a qualified workplace mediator and has SFHEA status. She holds an MA in International Studies (Security Studies) from University of Birmingham , MBA from University of Wolverhampton and also a Master’s in International Relations. Saiqa is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration.

Jad Hardan - Group Director of Information Technology

Jad HardanJad Hardan is The Group Director of Information Technology for AFG College with the University of Aberdeen and Al Faleh Educational Holding.

He provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative and secure information technology system throughout the schools under Al Faleh Educational Holding and AFG College with The University of Aberdeen.

Jad is holding a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Roehampton in London.

Before joining AFG, Jad spent more than 12 years in informational technology roles, especially in the hospitality sector. He managed more than fifty IT projects for Oracle Hospitality Products and Applications. Jad has travelled widely throughout the Middle East and Europe in the execution of a range of IT and applications development projects.

Michael Harris - Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs

Michael HarrisMichael has over fifteen years of experience in the higher education sector, having worked with various British universities and higher educational institutions. He was a member of the senior strategic management team for a leading independent management school in London and for eight years worked as Middle East development manager for that institution. This role involved forging links between education establishments, government agencies and industrial sector multinational organisations to deliver capacity building programmes to managers in the Gulf region.

Michael has extensive knowledge of the region having worked with the Embassies of UAE, Bahrain and Qatar developing cultural links in the areas of education, law and the arts.

Michael holds a University of London BA (Hons), the Graduate Diploma in Law (BPP University) and an MSc Strategic Management from the University of Wales. He has also obtained a Masters in International Affairs from Kings College, London and is currently undertaking a PhD in International Relations.

Michael is currently Director of Strategic Communications & Public Affairs at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. 

 

Somayyeh Ahmad - Academic Administrator

Somayyeh is an Academic Administrator for Undergraduate programs at AFG college with the University of Aberdeen. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Human Resources Management at University of Doha for Science and Technology in 2025. With two years of previous administrative experience in the education field. She is a self-published author with a book teaching beginner level Korean in the Arabic language.

Asma Al Aufi - Marketing Manager

Asma Al AufiAsma Al Aufi

Asma is currently the Marketing Manager at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen campus in Doha. With over seven years of experience in the banking industry and has proven her ability to manage a range of marketing initiatives, including client acquisition and retention plans, sales, market research, brand building, and adaptation to improve consumer experiences and competitive insights. These efforts have driven successful marketing campaigns and helped clients achieve their objectives. She has demonstrated her ability to function well in challenging financial environments and carry on delivering outcomes that matter.

Asma holds a BA from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in International Communication & Media and the University of Sussex with an MSc in Strategic Innovation Management.

 

Ahmed Ali - Human Resource Manager

Ahmed J. Ali is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 15 years of strategic and operational HR experience across both private enterprises and listed companies. A Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), Ahmed brings a strong track record in driving people strategies that align with business goals and foster high-performance cultures.

Throughout his career, Ahmed has held key HR leadership roles across diverse industries, where he led initiatives spanning talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and change management. With a deep understanding of complex organizational dynamics, Ahmed has successfully supported business transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and large-scale restructures.

Known for a pragmatic and people-first approach, Ahmed excels at building trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels—from front-line employees to executive leadership and board members. He is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces and championing employee engagement, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

With a strong foundation in employment law, HR policy, and governance, Ahmed ensures HR strategies are compliant, commercially sound, and future focused. His MCIPD designation underscores a commitment to professional excellence and ethical practice within the HR field.

Fatima-Azahra - Course Advisor

Fatima-Azahra is a Business Studies graduate who achieved a BTEC Higher National Diploma with Merit from City University Qatar in Partnership with Ulster University. She has professional experience in education and administration, with a strong background in advising individuals on academic and career development pathways.

Friendly and approachable, Fatima-Azahra enjoys meeting people from diverse backgrounds and values opportunities to learn through travel and new experiences. She is eager to learn looking forward to furthering her studies in Business while continuing to learn and develop as an individual, enhancing her ability to contribute effectively to the education and business sectors in Qatar.

Hafsa Kathloum Azouz - Personal Assistant to the Principal

Hafsa Kathloum AzouzKathloum Azouz - known as Hafsa - is a Course Advisor/Personal Assistant. She graduated from the UK with a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and is a qualified teacher of English, with CELTA certification. Hafsa has nine years' experience in the field of education. She believes it is important that everyone should have access to a quality education and is committed to her part in providing prospective students with that opportunity at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

Jayherold S. Becasen - Web Developer

Jayherold S. BecasenJayherold S. Becasen is a Web Developer at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. He is a seasoned information technology professional with over 10 years’ experience in the field. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree from the University of Baguio and completed Master’s units in Information Technology at Saint Louis University. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in web development, systems design and emerging technologies, contributing to numerous successful digital projects and organisational initiatives.

Sally-Anne Bennett - Front Desk Manager

Sally-Anne BennettSally-Anne is an experienced and highly organised professional with a background spanning across various educational and administrative roles. With a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Sally-Anne has built a diverse career, most recently working at a school in Alicante, Spain. Sally-Anne has worked in the offices of several international educational settings, where she honed her skills in communication and providing high-quality support to both students and staff. She is known for her attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and friendly, approachable demeanor.

Sally-Anne is passionate about creativity, regularly engaging in hobbies such as sewing, painting, and card-making. She enjoys running and yoga and is a keen reader, with a love for both modern and classic novels.

Cindy Canete - Academic Administrator

Cindy CaneteCindy is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She holds an Associate Degree in Information Technology from the Philippines and brings over a decade of experience in administrative roles spanning the construction, trading, sales & retail, and education sectors.

Prior to joining AFG College, Cindy served as Personal Assistant to H.E. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, Chairwoman of Al Faleh Educational Holding, where she provided high-level executive support. She also held the position of Executive Assistant to the CEO of a construction company, further enhancing her expertise in corporate administration and executive coordination.

Cindy has spent the past six years in the higher education sector, where she has developed strong capabilities in academic administration and built effective working relationships with students, staff, and institutional partners.

Tommy Daly - Student Services Manager

Tommy DalyTommy Daly joined AFG College with the University of Aberdeen in 2017 as Student Services Manager and was instrumental in developing the Student Hub. Tommy manages the Student Services Team and ensures that all student enquiries are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. As a member of the Senior Management Team, Tommy leads on all student-related issues, liaising closely with teams across AFG College and the University.

Prior to moving to Doha, Tommy undertook a series of student-focused roles in the UK Higher Education sector.

Fatjona Dashi - Recipients/Course Advisor

Fatjona DashiFatjona Dashi is a Recipients/Course Advisor at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. Having worked in a variety of businesses for more than 9 years, she has demonstrated her ability to handle all office-related responsibilities and has performed very well in customer service-related activities. Earlier she worked as the Chairman PA , prior to that Fatjona has also worked as a Supervisor and Assistant Manager within the hospitality field here in Qatar.

Fatjona holds a BA in Geography and Italian language from Aleksander Xhuvani University in Albania, and a Master’s of Science in Geography from the University of Tirana from Albania. 

Ghina Elkasti - Careers and Internship Manager

Ghina ElkastiGhina is the Careers and Internship Manager at AFG college with the University of Aberdeen.

She has obtained her MA. In International Education from SIT School of International Training, Vermont USA in 2014 and Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering from Qatar University in 2010.

She worked at Qatar University for 8 years, her latest position was the section head for Global Education and Student Exchange.

Ghina is passionate about intercultural learning and communications and teambuilding activities. She speaks four languages and is well known for her love for travelling and exploring different cultures.

Marwa Elsidig - Student Disability/Wellbeing Advisor

Marwa ElsidigMarwa Elsidiq is the Disability and Well-being advisor at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She graduated from Qatar University with a major in Finance and a minor in Marketing. Marwa has also gained valuable experience as a personal tutor for business courses at the Academic Support Center at Qatar University. She also worked at the Special Needs Centre, where she focused on providing tailored support for students with special needs.

Passionate about student welfare, Marwa is committed to helping students at AFG College achieve personal growth. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys gardening and arranging flowers, finding peace and creativity in these activities. In 2024, Marwa completed her MBA at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, further strengthening her skills in business leadership.

Salma Ennouari - Student Events Coordinator

Salma currently works as Event Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing from the University of Doha and has four years of experience in various sectors, including education, hospitality, and consultancy. Her goal is to contribute to building a more engaged and active community at Aberdeen University by organizing thoughtfully planned events that encourage interaction and collaboration among students and faculty. Salma is passionate about enhancing the university experience and fostering a sense of belonging within its community.

Ishaq Fahad - System Administrator

Ishaq FahadIshaqul Fahad is an experienced IT Systems and Network Administrator with over ten years of expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing IT infrastructures. He holds a Diploma in Computer Network Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and has completed advanced training in CCNA, CCNP, and Fortinet technologies. He is also certified in MCSA, MCSE, and Microsoft Azure.

His core competencies include network optimization, system security, cloud solutions, and server administration. Ishaqul Fahad is committed to ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of IT operations, while continuously adopting emerging technologies to meet evolving business needs.

Sabra Hunais - Academic Administrator

Sabra HunaisSabra is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and has seven years of teaching experience in Qatar. Outside of work, Sabra enjoys traveling and crafting, reflecting her diverse interests and creative spirit.

Beshr Idlbi - Senior Digital Content and Design Officer

Beshr IdlbiBeshr holds an MA in Journalism from Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and a BA in Communication from Istanbul Şehir University.

He is an award-winning creative director and digital strategist with over a decade of experience in crafting compelling brand narratives and leading impactful campaigns. His work spans the media, education, and retail sectors across Turkey, Canada, and Qatar.

Muhammad Zunair Khan - Senior Accountant

Muhammad Zunair KhanMuhammad Zunair Khan is a Senior Accountant at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. With over 18 years’ experience in accounting and finance across the FMCG and education sectors, he brings strong technical and operational expertise to the role.

He holds an MBA in Accounting & Finance and is a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT – UK). Zunair oversees daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting. Known for his precision and integrity, he plays a key role in keeping the organisation’s finances accurate and compliant.

Niazullah Khan - Public Relations Officer

Niazullah KhanNiazullah Khan is a dedicated Public Relations professional with seven years of experience in education and institutional communications. He holds a Diploma from Gomal University, KPK, Pakistan.

He has built his career at AFG College and DA, where he played a key role in fostering positive relationships between the institution, students, and the wider community.

Throughout his career, Niazullah has focused on creating clear, engaging messaging and strengthening the public image of the organizations he represents. He has coordinated events, managed media relations, and developed communication strategies that helped build trust and visibility.

Koraljka Velnic Kovacic - Technical Services Librarian

Koraljka Velnic KovacicI moved to Qatar in 2011 with my family. The move brought a major career shift, when I replaced nearly two decades of aviation operations with the libraries. Before joining the AFG College, I ran the libraries in Newton British Academy and Sherborne Qatar Prep school. I was also a Library Support Team member at the Georgetown University Qatar.

I obtained the MA degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University College of London (UCL), specialised in Leadership and Management in Libraries and Librarianship for the Education Sector.

I am keen on improving library collections and operations in all aspects, with the emphasis on inclusive services. I also believe that promoting information literacy and developing critical thinking and research skills are the key to raising the generations of lifelong learners.

I am excited to help making the AFG Learning and Resource Centre a leading learning and research hub in the region.

Hazel Lumbab - Credit Controller

Hazel LumbabHazel is currently the Credit Controller at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She gained her (BS) Computer Science degree in the Philippines and completed her Accounting Professional Diploma in Filipino Institute, Qatar.

Hazel formerly worked as an Accountant (AR) - Invoicing within the Manufacturing sector for more than 16 years prior to joining the University. Work dedication and enthusiasm are her key attributes in handling responsibilities.
She is always open to learning from her superior and colleagues while also being ready to offer them support.

Lawrence Manansala - Student Advisor

Lawrence ManansalaLawrence Manansala is a dedicated professional with five years of experience in customer service, facility management, and student support. Since 2022, he has worked at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen in Doha, serving as Student Advisor, and in 2025, he also became Student Monitoring Officer. In this role, he supports academic operations, monitors attendance, provides student guidance, and helps organize key university events.

From 2019 to 2022, Lawrence worked as Assistant Building Supervisor and Concierge for Shelter Group Qatar, where he managed maintenance operations and led teams with a focus on safety and service quality. He studied Civil Engineering at the University of the East Caloocan in the Philippines and is known for his reliability, professionalism, and leadership.

Elisabete Marques - Receptionist

Elisabete MarquesElisabete is a Receptionist at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She is an experienced and organised professional with more than 15 years’ experience in administration, client relations and educational support. She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Coimbra and has built a well-rounded career across academic and international settings, developing strong communication and problem-solving skills. Known for her professionalism, attention to detail and friendly manner, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive experience for students, staff and visitors.

Asiah Muaqat - Academic Administrator

Asiah is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She graduated in 2018 from Qatar University, with an Honours degree in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy. Prior to joining the University, Asiah gained 2 years of experience in the education sector, both in administration and as a teacher.

In her free time, Asiah enjoys reading, spending time with family, and going for walks.

Mohamad Mubashik - IT Technician

Mohamad MubashikMubashik is an IT Support for AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
He holds a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology from College of Technology in Srilanka.
Mubashik has over 06 years of experience in the field of IT Support providing technical assistance and troubleshooting solutions. With a passion for technology and a commitment to Students and Staffs satisfaction, he excels in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues efficiently. His expertise includes hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration and system upgrades.

Mubashik is dedicated to ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional support to our Staffs and Students. He is interested in sports and social media.

Mohammed Najath Nainar - Office Assistant

Mohmedminhaj RafiqbhaiMohammed Najath is an enthusiastic, hands-on and self-motivated Office Assistant who is able to spot when something needs doing and then do it.

He is willing to pick up a variety of different jobs, and do them all with a big smile. On a personal level he is an excellent communicator who is comfortable working with a variety of different people.

Fatemah Navaei - Course Advisor

Fatemah NavaeiFatemah holds a bachelor's degree in Management, specialised in Office Administrative and has been working for the past 13 years. She began as an administrative assistant before rising to the position of office administrator in consultant engineers' companies. Additionally, Fatima has experience in running a business. Outside of work, she finds joy in painting and practicing Pilates.

Mia Neri - Nurse

Mia NeriMaria Mia L. Neri is the Nurse in AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, Philippines and graduated in 2010.

Mia is a registered nurse here in Doha since 2015 and worked at different healthcare facilities and clinics. She obtained various positions as a home care nurse, school and nursery nurse.

Mia was also a volunteer nurse at Hamad Medical Center Communicable Diseases for COVID patients.

Reham Osman - Assistant Librarian

After 10 years of pursuing a career in accounting at one of the biggest FMCGs in the Middle East, she relocated to Doha with my family in 2016.

She received her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) in 2010 from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and M.A in Library and Information Science from the University College London in Qatar in 2020. She joined the Qatar National Library team in Nov 2017, where she worked as a library assistant until August 2021.

Reham has a passion for information literacy and research and she enjoys working with students. She truly enjoys helping students find the resources that they need to be successful in their degree programs. “Each interaction is a chance to learn something new, and supporting library users has taught me how I might solve a technology issue or find information on a certain topic. Overall, I am excited to be part of the library team. If you are ever in a research rut or have a question, keep calm and ask a librarian. We're here to help!”

Reema Qublawi - Non Academic Manager

Reema QublawiReema holds a Bachelors in English Literature and Special Diploma in Education from Qatar University. Her work experience was mainly as a high school teacher at the Qatar government schools. Reema joined AFG College with the University of Aberdeen in the position of Non-Academic Manager.

Ahlam Rafeek - Student Advisor

Ahlam RafeekAhlam is currently a Student Advisor at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Biomedical Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University and is proficient in both English and Arabic. Prior to joining the College, she worked as an Assistant Lecturer and the Biomedical Engineering Program Coordinator at ESOFT Metro Campus.  With a background in Biomedical Engineering and experience in academic coordination, she is passionate about providing personalized guidance and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.

 

Lisa Reynolds - Head of Library and Learning Resources

Lisa ReynoldsLisa Reynolds is the Head of Library and Learning Resources.

She has lived in Qatar since 2012 and worked at the Qatar National Library before starting at AFG. She has a M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also obtained her M.A in Museum and Gallery Practice at University College London here in Qatar.

Lisa's main interest area in libraries is information literacy instruction. She loves working in libraries and helping people fulfil their informational needs. She wants the library to be the heart of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

Gareth Richardson-Peat - Student Services Administrative Officer

Gareth Richardson-Peat

Gareth began a professional journey in higher education at the University of St Andrews as an Admissions and Student Recruitment specialist, with a strong focus on widening access and participation. Since then, Gareth has worked in international education contexts across Europe and Southeast Asia.

Gareth graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2021 with an MA (Hons) in Social Anthropology and Spanish and is currently pursuing an MSc in International Education.

Mariem Sgheir - Admissions Team Lead

Mariem Sgheir, possessing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Qatar University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, currently works as the Admissions Team Lead with five years of experience in Qatar.

Sulaika Sias - Design and Marketing Officer

Sulaika SiasSulaika Samie Sias is a Design and Marketing Officer at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She studied at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa.

Before joining AFG College, Sulaika worked in various creative roles where she developed strong expertise in interior design, graphic design, visual communication, brand identity, and digital marketing. She has five years of experience creating engaging designs and marketing materials that support brand visibility and audience engagement.

Her professional interests include brand development, digital design, social media marketing, and visual storytelling.
Aya Soueid - Course Advisor

Aya Soueid completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Management and subsequently pursued her Master's degree in Science in International Business Management, graduating in 2022 from the University of Aberdeen.

With a strong academic background and a keen interest in global business practices, Aya embarked on a career path focused on higher education. Currently, she serves as a Course Advisor within the Student Recruitment Team at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. In her role, Aya leverages her academic expertise and interpersonal skills to guide prospective students through the admissions process, offering valuable insights and support as they navigate their educational journey.

Sherine Tabsh - Head of Student Recruitment, Alumni, and Events

Sherine TabshSherine is currently the Head of Student Recruitment, Alumni, and Events at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen

Prior to joining the University, Sherine worked as Head of Business Development at the German Industry and Commerce Office Qatar and Public Relations Manager at the Qatari Businessmen Association.

Before moving to Qatar, Sherine last worked at the Customer Relationship Management Unit in the Retail Department of Bank Audi sal Audi Saradar Group, in Beirut.

She graduated from the American University of Beirut and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.

Neveen Taha - Alumni Relations Officer

Neveen AttarNeveen currently serves as the Alumni Relations Officer at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She earned her degree from Qatar University and has certificates in events management. Neveen brings a wealth of experience in event planning and management, having worked for more than 10 years at Qatar University. she has successfully coordinated numerous events and garnered recognition for her exceptional organizational skills and innovative approach to event execution.
