AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is proudly organising the 2nd International Women’s Day Conference on Friday 8 March in parallel with the University of Aberdeen conference and under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, Chairperson of Al Faleh Educational Holding. International Women's Day has been celebrated across the world since the early 1900's. Originally, its aim was to provide a forum for women to campaign for equality and women’s rights. Over time, it has evolved and now in March each year, thousands of events are held throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made, to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements. Our guest speakers are professional women working in different sectors that include health, sports, ICT, education, banking and privately owned businesses.
