Alumni Awards

We celebrate the achievements of our alumni each year, honouring their success and contributions through our annual Alumni Awards. This award recognises the outstanding accomplishments of our graduates across various fields.

Terms of eligibility:

• Graduated from AFG College with the University of Aberdeen (to be confirmed)
• Achieved exceptional success in their chosen professional field
• Made a significant impact in their community
• Demonstrated a strong commitment to their profession
• Demonstrated a strong commitment and contributions to AFG College with the University of Aberdeen

Criteria for Evaluation:

Business/Professional Achievement:

Recognizes outstanding accomplishments, innovation, leadership, or milestones in their field, with sustained success and impact over time, including formal recognition or awards for their contributions.

Community Impact:

Highlights commitment to community service through initiatives or programs, with measurable positive outcomes and leadership roles in community-based projects or organizations.

University Engagement:

Active participation in university events, mentoring, or alumni activities, along with positive influence and contributions to the university community, supported by testimonials or examples.

Nomination Support:

The clarity and completeness of the nomination, supported by detailed examples of the nominee's achievements, along with a persuasive argument demonstrating why they deserve recognition.

Nomination and Selection Process:

• Nominations can be made by anyone including self-nomination
• A panel committee consisting of AFG College and Aberdeen staff and faculty will be reviewing all nominations to select the finalists.
• Nominations should provide details for a referee who will be contacted by the panel to provide a letter of support and confirmation of mentioned achievements.
• The recipient will be notified and will be invited to attend the annual alumni event to accept the award.
