Biography
Rhona Flin's research examines human performance in high-risk work settings focusing on safety, organisational culture, and non-technical skills. She has published over 150 scientific articles based on studies from the energy sector, healthcare and aviation. She previously led the Scottish Patient Safety Research Network, is a Trustee of the Clinical Human Factors Group and was awarded Fellowships (ad hom.) from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. She is a Board member of Step Change in Safety and of the Human Factors Technical Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
She is a member of the Applied Psychology and Human Factors Group in the School of Psychology.
