The School of Psychology at the University of Aberdeen is delighted to announce that its Online MSc Psychological Studies programme has been awarded British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation.
This significant milestone means that students who successfully complete the programme and meet the relevant requirements will be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), a key step towards many professional and postgraduate training pathways in psychology.
The Online MSc Psychological Studies is designed as a conversion degree, making it suitable for graduates from any academic discipline who wish to gain a recognised qualification in psychology. Delivered entirely online, the programme offers students the flexibility to study from anywhere in the world while balancing work and personal commitments.
The newly accredited programme combines core areas of psychological theory and research with opportunities to explore specialist interests through a range of pathways, including topics such as mental health and human-AI interaction.
Dr Jacqui Hutchison, Director of Postgraduate Teaching in the School of Psychology, said: "We are thrilled to have achieved BPS accreditation for our Online MSc Psychological Studies programme. Accreditation provides students with confidence that their degree meets the high standards expected by the profession and opens up valuable opportunities for future study and career progression in psychology."
The accreditation further strengthens the University's commitment to providing accessible, high-quality psychology education for students across the globe.
