Biography
I am an Immunologist (PhD by the UNAM-Mexico, postdoctoral fellowship at the Immunobiology Program/University of Vermont-College of Medicine) and Specialist in Cytometry (by the ASCPBOC) with more than 20 years of experience developing both basic and applied research projects using flow cytometry, and with more than 12 years of experience managing flow cytometry core labs.
I have extensive experience in strategic designing, validating, implementing, and analysing multicolour flow cytometry experiments (+25 colours) for wide variety of applications, including but not limited, immunophenotype, functional assays (proliferation, cytokine production, maturation, etc.), DNA cell cycle analysis, flowRNA, cell sorting on bulk or single cell for transcriptomic analysis (e.g. 10X Genomics), etc. Through collaboration with researchers, I have developed innovative cytometry solutions to address the needs of preclinical and clinical research, as well as FC solutions for use in the fields of water pollution, food science, animal and plant science.
While almost my entire career has been as a researcher, teaching has been part of every step I have been taking to become researcher. I have a passion for education. I am passionate to help others to learn new skills and knowledge, and to support them to apply the new skill/knowledge acquired into their field.
