Biography

I currently hold the post of Christ’s College Lecturer in Practical Theology. My work and teaching is centred around theologies of trauma, suffering, and division. My first book was a theological engagement with the Sunday Assembly, a "godless congregation," and I have also co-edited two volumes on trauma theology (Feminist Trauma Theologies and Bearing Witness, both with SCM Press).

My current research explores the beliefs, practices, and traumas of Christians who have left the church. I am an active qualitative researcher and I regularly share my research in public forums.
