Dr Isabel Seidel

Biography

I studied English Literature & Culture, Spanish, and Philosophy at the TU Dresden, Germany and came to Scotland to complete an MLitt in the Novel at the University of Aberdeen followed by my PhD in English also at Aberdeen. I have taught at both the Universities of Dresden and Aberdeen.

My research focuses on nineteenth-century literature and periodicals, women's writing, literary and social theory, as well as interdisciplinary studies on gender, identity, work, and environment.

Currently, I'm a teaching fellow in Sociology.
