Research Overview
Fiona Clegg is a SCREDS Clinical Lecturer in Gastroenterology and commenced a CRANES Fellowship in 2018 "Defining the role of fibroblast growth factor 21 in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma in humans". Her current work focuses on the generation of in vitro models of chronic liver disease states including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, using co-culture, 3D culture and human primary hepatic organoid culture. She has expertise in cell line and organoid culture, antibody production, qPCR and immunohistochemistry.
