Biography
I am a Teaching Fellow in Human Geography at the University of Aberdeen. I hold a PhD in Human Geography from the University of St Andrews, an MA in Urban Social Geography from the University of Calgary, and a BSc in Geographic Information Science from Sun Yat-sen University. Prior to pursuing my PhD, I worked in policy consultancy at the Fudan Development Institute, Fudan University, China.
My research interests lie broadly in migration studies, with a particular focus on international student mobility. My research explores the migration trajectories and lived experiences of international students and graduates, examining how migration aspirations, institutional arrangements, and structural inequalities shape their mobility decisions and experiences.
My recent work focuses on the employment and resettlement experiences of Chinese graduates returning from overseas, with particular attention to migration governance, labour market integration, and social inequalities.
