Dr Shapovalova (AUCEL) and Prof Potts (Geosciences) presented their work on Just Transition

Our Dr Daria Shapovalova (AUCEL) and Prof Tavis Potts (Geosciences) presented their work on Just Transition in Aberdeen for over 50 Scottish Government officials at their Lunchtime Seminar series. Daria and Tavis focused on the interdisciplinary research projects they have been working on for the past few months, assessing how the oil and gas industry shaped the region and how to develop a place-based Just Transition indicator framework for the region. Daria focused on the need to integrate Just Transition into the wider legal and policy framework. Their work is done under the auspices of AUCEL and the Just Transition Lab and includes projects inter alia by the University’s Pump Priming Fund, the Scottish Government Just Transition Fund.
