Carolina Yanez Contreras has joined HERU as a PhD student. Carolina has been awarded an Elphinstone Scholarship to research 'Valuing the benefits of oral health interventions for use in economic evaluation'. She will be supervised by Professor Marjon van der Pol and Dr Dwayne Boyers from HERU, and Dr Ekta Gupta from the Dental School.Carolina has qualifications in dental surgery and public health and has worked as a public dental health practitioner with deprived communities in South America. We are delighted to welcome her to HERU and wish her well in her PhD.
