Aberdeen University Concert Band

Aberdeen University Concert Band

Come along and join the Aberdeen University Concert Band for fun, friendships and a whole lot of music! The concert band is a non-auditioned community ensemble, open to students and staff of the university, as well as anyone around and out-with the university community. The band always plays a wide variety of music, from film scores to band classics and anything in between. There's something for every taste and performing ability! All we ask is that you play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument. Our concert this semester will be held in the Music Hall in collaboration with University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra on Sunday 5 December 2021. More information on this year coming... follow us on Facebook to be kept up to date.

How to join: There are no auditions to join the Concert Band (except for percussionists). Make sure to sign up to our 2021/22 mailing list to ensure you receive all of our communications. Find us at the
Freshers Fayre on 22 September! We look forward to seeing you.

Rehearsals: This semester, we will be able to meet back in person for rehearsals! We rehearse on a Tuesday from 6pm-8pm. This year we will rehearse in King’s Pavilion and be conducted by Sam Paul. Our first rehearsal this semester will be Tuesday 12 October 2021.
