The course consists of a supervised project to design and build an e-learning application on an agreed clinical topic. The student will acquire skills relevant to e-Learning design and development.
The course will be delivered through interaction with the supervisor, an appropriate clinician and relevant staff in the Learning Technologies team and through practical involvement.
This course is capped at 6 students you will only be able to choose it as your first choice. You will also be required to very briefly outline the topic you envisage working on.
Describe the role of e-learning in medical education
Summarise a specific area of e-learning technology
Design a script or other activity that could form the basis of a novel e-learning activity
State the limitations, advantages and opportunities of e-learning in different educational environments
What will the timetable be like?
Weeks 1 and 2 will include sessions on e-learning and student presentations
Weeks 4-6 will include discussion and review sessions as you develop your e-Learning package

How will I be assessed?
Assessments will be marked in accordance with the University Common Grading Scale. Your mark will be comprised of:
