'I chose to take this course as I’d always had an interest in history, but never the chance to study it. I found the workload and timetable very manageable and I my tutor was fantastic. The only downside was being thrown in the deep end slightly with how to write a history essay but when I voiced my concerns my tutor was more than happy to sit down and go through it with me. I’d really recommend this course, it’s a great chance to learn about a fascinating period in time and enjoy learning something completely different from medicine.'
'Was wonderful to get back into the history mindset and experience learning about a totally different thing in a totally different way
'The opportunity for medical students to prepare and write source review and essay for a history course is valuable.'

'I enjoyed this course a lot, and would recommend it to anyone interested in medieval history. Most especially, don’t be put off if you are interested in history but did not enjoy studying it at school. I was dreading writing a history essay, and was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the research, and how proud I was of the finished product. The academic staff on the course were great, and very willing to help find sources for the essay and give feedback at the end of the course. It is not a medicine oriented course, but I actually found that was one of the good things about it: mixing with students from other disciplines provided a nice break from the hothouse atmosphere in Suttie, and the main campus is gorgeous!'
