Research Into the Prevalence and Causes of Prescribing Errors Made by Junior Doctors

The CSO funded PROTECT study investigates prescribing errors among Foundation Year doctors in Scotland. Two studies are ongoing comprising: a national (Scottish) prospective observational study of prescribing errors made by hospital doctors, and interviews and questionnaires investigating F1/F2 doctors' knowledge, attitudes and experiences of prescribing errors whilst working in Scotland.
