Patient and Public Involvement in trials: defining a numerical aspect of trial- target difference

PhD Project - Vitri Darlene

My PhD topic area is around how we can improve the design of randomised controlled trials. It is established that patients and public involvement (PPI) is beneficial to health research (1).

In my first year of PhD, a part of my research will be reviewing the literature of the view from people in trials when involving patients and the public as research partners. I’m also working on another review to explore ‘how’ and ‘which’ way to define target difference by seeking input from patients and public. The second review is a part of the PINpoINT study.
