- Café Controversial

This year's theme is 'A World in Crisis.' At a time when every headline feels like a warning siren, how do we make sense of crisis? From climate anxiety, increasing cost of living and political upheaval to personal burnout and cultural panic, Café Controversial brings together sharp minds, bold opinions, and curious people for an evening of lively discussion on the crises shaping our world — and ourselves.
If you are a researcher with something to say on this topic that affects us all. Complete the registration form below to find out more. The event will take place on Wednesday 23 September at the Aberdeen Lemon Tree.
Café Controversial is a blend of controversial research and audience participation. This event provides adult audiences with the opportunity to discuss and debate cutting-edge research in a fun and social setting.
Training and support is offered to researchers taking part to prepare for the performance and the event is also hosted by a compere.
