The University of Aberdeen hosts a rich calendar of public events and these can all be viewed on the main events listing page.

We also co-ordinate one of the largest UK community cafe programmes where researchers present their work on topical issues in informal settings. These events are always popular with plenty of time for questions from the audience. Cafe events run throughout the year on various topics and locations in Aberdeen city and Inverness with topics ranging from medicine to philosophy and physics. We recently added PechaKucha nights to our cafe programme. These are fast moving evenings with 6-8 speakers presenting words and pictures on a range of topical themes.

Throughout the year there are number of festivals including British Science WeekUniversity of Aberdeen May festival, TechFest and The Festival of Social Sciences. All of these festivals have a programme of events suitable for all ages.

In addition to public events we encourage members of the public to interact with our research projects including via our 'Research Interest Group' which will help shape how we communicate medical related research in the future.

To make sure that you don’t miss out on any exciting events from the University of Aberdeen be sure to keep up to date with our events listing by signing up to the mailing list.
