We welcome a new member of staff in the History Department (School of Divinity, History and Philosophy), Dr Charles Bradford Bow, who joins us as a lecturer from Yonsei University (Seoul, South Korea) where he has worked between 2014 and 2019, after a stint as teaching fellow at the Univerity of Edinburgh, where he also received his PhD in 2012. In 2018, he published the book Common Sense in the Scottish Enlightenment with Oxford University Press, and his next book, Dugald Stewart in the Scottish Enlightenment: An intellectual biography, is under review with Edinburgh UP. We are looking forward to working with Brad in the Centre for Early Modern Studies. He is eager to supervise students for a PhD in the field of Scottish Enlightenment Studies and for a MLitt in Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
