Alumni Visit to Burghead

Step back in time and uncover the secrets of one of Scotland's most important Pictish sites. Join fellow alumni for an exclusive visit to Burghead, Moray, on Sunday 23 August, where Professor Gordon Noble and his team are leading excavations at this remarkable archaeological site.

Discover the fascinating history of the area, learn about the lives of the Picts, and enjoy a unique behind-the-scenes insight into the excavation. You'll have the opportunity to see some of the latest finds from the trenches and handle Pictish objects from the excavations, see the visitor centre, and visit the famous and mysterious Burghead well.

This visit to Burghead is free and open to all alumni and their guests. Activities will also be family-friendly and children are very welcome to attend.

Please note you will be responsible for arranging your own transport to and from Burghead.
