Dr Fiona Reid has been a Consultant Urogynaecologist at the Warrell Unit, St Mary’s Hospital Manchester since 2007. It is one of UKs largest Urogynaecology departments. It has 6 consultant urogynaecologist, 4 specialist nurses, 2 consultant clinical scientist, a part time clinical psychologist and a psychosexual therapist. The unit offers comprehensive treatment for all aspects of pelvic floor disease to the women of Manchester and provides training in urogynaecology at a subspecialty level.  The department has an extensive pelvic floor research programme.

Dr Reid’s interests include management of vesicovaginal fistulae, pelvic floor reconstruction surgery and management of mesh complication.  Her research focus on understanding why polypropylene mesh causes complications and surgical trials for prolapse.
