Aberdeen Centre for Women's Health Research Seminar with Dr Rosie Townsend - Personalised Stillbirth Prevention - surely we can do better?

Rosie qualified from Edinburgh in 2009 and started specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London in 2011, including an MD under the supervision of Professors Basky Thilaganathan, Asma Khalil and Shakila Thangaratinam that focused on the use of novel data collaborations to investigate stillbirth prediction and develop new tools for stillbirth prevention. She also worked for a year as a Lecturer at Mountains of the Moon University in Uganda teaching on the midwifery degree program while practicing as an obstetrician in the local public healthcare system.  Her clinical interests are multiple pregnancy, still birth and global women's health. In 2021 she was appointed to her current role as a clinical lecturer and ST7 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Edinburgh.
