Fyfe House

Fyfe House can be offered as a self-catered or catered hall.  If you have a catered contract, a meal Plan card (with a weekly allowance of £71) will be issued allowing the ‘purchase’ of meals, snacks, hot and cold drinks at various times through the day 7.30am-10pm Monday to Friday, 11.30am-10pm on a Saturday and from 11.30am to 6pm on a Sunday.  Food & drink can be enjoyed from any of the 11 cafes, coffee bars and food outlets operated by the University providing the flexibility of what and when food & drink is taken.  Additionally, there is  kitchen facilities allowing a cup of tea, coffee, snack or a light bite to be made when everything else is closed.  Find out more details of the great food available by visiting the food, drink and retail section of the website.

Each floor contains on average 37 single study rooms with single beds with shared allocated kitchen & toilet/shower facilities (residents can be sharing the kitchen facilities with 5 or 9 students).

A dedicated floor will be allocated to returning undergraduates.

Each corridor has a small communal keypad entry kitchen area with lockable cupboards, and shared showers and toilets. Kitchens come supplied with a microwave, cooker, fridge freezers, kettle and toaster but you must take your own crockery, pots and pans.

Contents insurance and all utility bills are included in the price. Internet access is a University provided service.

Please note that no bedding is supplied. You must supply your own duvets, pillows and sheets. You can purchase these from local retailers.

Bathrooms and toilets are cleaned daily Monday - Friday and kitchens cleaned twice weekly Monday - Friday but the cleaning of your room is your responsibility, cleaning equipment will be supplied (access to a vacuum cleaner, brush, mop and bucket).

Fyfe is located in the Hillhead student village. 

Adam Smith, Fyfe and Wavell are all very similar styles. Residents are housed in corridor style rooms with wash hand basins in all rooms.

Hillhead is located beside the picturesque Seaton Park, which is a short 20 minute walk, or a 5 minute bus ride direct into King's Campus.
