Overview
Information Skills is a compulsory course which introduces students to the Information Technology Systems specific to the University of Aberdeen and aims to ensure that students have the basic computing skills to effectively support their academic study.
Students are required to attend an introductory lecture in Advising Week and one two-hour practical workshop in the first week of teaching. During this workshop students will be required to conclude a series of exercises. Students who are unable to complete the content of the workshop will be given the opportunity to develop their skills through attendance at further workshops in the second week of teaching. Students will also be able to further enhance their skills through online study.
It is expected that the application of these Information Skills will be demonstrated in the completion of the student's academic study.
Achieved or Not Achieved will be marked on a student's record.
