Biography

Vicky Munro is a Research Coordinator within the Grampian Data Safe Haven (DaSH).

Prior to this she studied Analytical Chemistry with Forensic Science (Hons) at the Robert Gordons University, Aberdeen. During this time she entered the Oil and Gas industry on work placement as a Chemical Analyst with Shell at the St Fergus Gas Plant, Peterhead. On completion of the 16 month placement she returned to University to complete her degree and graduated with a 2.1 honours. Upon graduating she secured employment with Corex (UK) Ltd as a Formation Damage Laboratory Technician. She then joined the University of Aberdeen in 2010 as a Graduate Trainee Technician; she successfully completed the three year ‘trainee-scheme’ in 2013. In May 2014 she joined Aberdeen City Council as a Technician, moving into the role of Senior Data Transformation Specialist with IHS-Rushmore in March 2015. In March 2019 she returned to the University of Aberdeen as a Research Coordinator within DaSH.
