Biography
I completed my B.Sc. in Agricultural Technology and Management at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and M.Sc. in Marine Life Sciences in Jeju National University, Korea. I specialized in comparative endocrinology and environmental physiology while studying for my PhD in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in USA.
I joined the Scottish Fish Immunology Research Centre (SFIRC) as a Research Fellow in 2024. My research covers host-parasite interaction, antigen discovery and developing therapeutics for proliferative kidney disease in salmonids.

Research Overview
My research focuses on better health and nutrition of fish in an aquaculture setting. Aquaculture industry is the fastest growing sector in world agriculture hence it is important to meet the global demand with a high-quality product while reducing the losses to various diseases and parasites.
