Biography

I graduated with Honours in Medical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and am currently completing a Master’s in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of Aberdeen, with graduation expected in November 2025. I am currently working as a Technician in the School of Biological Sciences, supporting research in the Energetics and Doubly Labelled Water Laboratory.

My academic and research interests span a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. I am passionate about contributing to impactful research that may inform the development of future therapeutic strategies for these conditions.

I am always enthusiastic about new opportunities to collaborate, learn and expand my knowledge!

Research

Research Overview

Undergraduate Research: My dissertation focused on musculoskeletal tissue engineering, where I developed co-culture models of the enthesis supported in fibrin-gel scaffolds. This work aimed to create physiologically relevant models of the native enthesis to better understand tissue integration and repair.

Master’s Research: My master’s project investigated the role of a non-canonical cullin ubiquitin ligase in neurodevelopment. I studied the interaction between this atypical cullin and a substrate critical for neurodevelopment, whose dysregulation has been implicated in autism spectrum disorder
