Research Overview
One area of my research interests is the analysis of urban real estate markets with econometric methods. This includes the examination and implementation of automated valuation services using methods from machine learning. The analysis is based on an understanding of the institutional and models from urban economics. Another area of my research is the analysis of real estate investment vehicles and the fund management industry. I am also interested in the analysis of location choice.

Current Research
My current research on urban real estate markts includes the examination of list price setting in housing markets and the testing of real option models with data of land transactions. Another recent interdisciplinary research project concerns the business of general practitioners in Scotland and the spatial mismatch that exists between urban and rural areas. My current research on the fund management industry examines the industrial structure of the mutual fund sector. My most recent research examined the teleworking experience and its effect on housing demand.
