Biography
Marina was appointed as Business Development Executive in March 2025, leading engagement with Health and Life Sciences businesses and identifying new commercial opportunities.
Prior to moving into professional services, Marina spent 25 years in the Life Sciences industry. She earned her Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Veterinary Medicine from the University of Moscow, Russia, in 1999, and completed her PhD at the Medical School of the University of Kiel, Germany, in 2004.
Marina moved to the UK in 2005, driven by a strong passion for research. She has led numerous projects focused on discovering next-generation biotherapeutic drugs and guiding them from early research all the way to clinical development. Marina has held key positions in global pharmaceutical companies, including Wyeth and Pfizer.

To help academics connect and collaborate with businesses and industry, I provide support across a wide range of opportunities, including:
- Contract Research & Strategic Partnerships
- Industrial Grant Opportunities
- Consultancy Services (including advisory board membership and conference speaking)
- Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)
- Innovation Vouchers (Interface)
- Research Facilities Commercialisation
I also manage the internal and external processes needed to arrange and sustain these collaborations, ensuring effective communication with all parties involved.
