Biography
Malavika started her PhD at the University of Aberdeen in October 2025. She completed her BSc in Biotechnology at Manipal University and then went on to complete her MSc in Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception at the University of Dundee. Malavika has worked in clinical trials for over 4 years, first in data management within the Breast Imaging Research Group, University of Dundee, then in trial management at the Tayside Clinical Trials Unit.
Malavika’s main research interest lies in improving diversity and inclusion in health research. Her PhD project is titled ‘Evaluation of Crowdsourcing Use for Inclusive and Diverse PPI Engagement in Clinical Trials’ and it aims to provide additional strategies to patient and public involvement so more people can be involved in the design and conduct of clinical trials.
