Biography
I am a PhD student studying the effects of adding peas (Pisum sativum) into the crop rotation and how this impacts soil health. I am focussing particularly on their potential to increase carbon stocks of soils and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, and I will be studying this using chambers to take field measurements of greenhouse gas fluxes.
Before starting my PhD at the University of Aberdeen I graduated with a BSc in Biological Sciences from Durham University, during which I completed a one-year industrial placement with ADAS, an agricultural consultancy company.
