Biography
Gokben is a Research Fellow at HERU, working within the Health Behaviour theme since April 2025. Her research focuses on applied microeconometrics in health economics, with particular interests in maternal and child health, health capital formation, and the economic evaluation of health interventions. She is currently working on projects assessing the quality of life of patients with psoriatic arthritis. Gokben completed her PhD in Economics in 2024. Her thesis, which examined the effects of health investments across the life course, was awarded the Best PhD Thesis in Economics by the Turkish Economic Association. She also holds an MA in Economics from Koç University and a BA in Economics from TOBB University of Economics and Technology.
