Biography

Born in Fraserburgh, Charley brings over 20 years’ experience as a North-East cultural practitioner and project manager. He spent 5 years developing and delivering a homelessness education programme to all secondary schools in the North-East on behalf of Cyrenians in Aberdeen, 5 years working in widening access at Robert Gordon University and over 10 years as a secondary teacher in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire schools. He has a continuous Doric thread that weaves its way through both his professional and personal work and was Director of Fitlike Records for 7 years. Charley is an active volunteer with the Tarves Heritage Project in Tarves, where he resides.
