About

Biography

I am currently an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow, working at the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science, I also work as a Junior Doctor at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. My main interests are in Health Data Science, with research focussing on electrolyte disorders, particularly the epidemiology of hyperkalaemia, how this interacts with long term renal and cardiac outcomes and designing prediction models with the aim of improving the care of these patients.

Research Overview

I am keen to use epidemiological approaches with health data science in order to improve patient care and outcomes.  My current area of interest is in renal electrolyte disorders, particularly hyperkalaemia. I have been studying the epidemiology of hyperkalaemia in the NHS Grampian population and currently developing prediction models to improve the care of these patients. I am enthusiastic about open and reproducible data and using R for analyses.
