Last month McDucation, an Education Consultant based in Bangkok which specialise in recruiting Thai students to Scottish institutions, celebrated its 20th anniversary by launching the Scottish Alumni Association Thailand and the Scottish Alumni Awards in Leadership, Innovation and Community Engagement.
The University of Aberdeen was well represented at the event with three Alumni recognised in the category of Community Impact Award, which was created in honour of the late Professor Pete Duff.
Dr. Piti Eiamchamroonlarp who graduated from the Univeristy with a Master of Law and a PhD in Law was named the winner of the Community Impact Award, while Dr. Nutthanuch Mekara and Rommcharee Ratanakiatkosol were runners up in the same category.
McDucation specialise in recruiting Thai students to Scottish institutions and have helped over 5000 students join Scotland’s universities.
Around 150 Scottish alumni attended the award ceremony.
