The University of Aberdeen has been recognised among the best universities in the UK, ranking in the top 10 in three categories at the 2025 WhatUni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs).
The University secured tenth place in Student Life, Student Support, and the prestigious University of the Year category—an achievement that reflects its dedication to providing an exceptional student experience.
Unlike other rankings, the WUSCAs are based solely on the views of real students, offering a genuine and unbiased insight into university life across the UK. This year, the awards collected more than 36,000 verified reviews, gathered through on-campus visits and online submissions via the Whatuni platform. The student-led approach of review collection means that shortlisted universities are uniquely recognised by students for delivering an exceptional experience.
Jo-Anne Murray, Vice-Principal Education at the University of Aberdeen said: "This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating an enriching and supportive environment for our students. To be ranked in the top 10 across multiple categories, based solely on student feedback, is incredibly meaningful.
“It reflects our dedication to fostering a vibrant student life, providing excellent support, and delivering an outstanding university experience. We are immensely proud of this recognition and will continue striving to empower our students in every possible way."
The Whatuni Student Choice Awards were held in London last night, Thursday 22 May, 2025.
