On Friday 13 January, a Panopto Cloud server update will occur which will prevent use by out-of-date versions of the software client.
If you see a pop-up in your Panopto software saying it’s out of date, please update via one of the following methods:
University-managed Windows PC
- If you already have Panopto installed, you should have received the update automatically. If not, please contact the IT Service Desk.
- If you don’t have Panopto installed, you can install it from the Software Center.
University-managed Apple device
Either:
- Open Self Service
- Locate Panopto
- Click Update
Or:
- Navigate to abdn.cloud.panopto.eu
- Sign in

Non-University devices
- Navigate to abdn.cloud.panopto.eu
- Sign in

If you attempt to record on an out-of-date version of Panopto after 8.30am on Friday 13 January, your recording will not upload until you update your software.
The Panopto version should be 12.0 and higher for PCs and 13.0 and higher for Macs. You can see the version number if you open your Panopto software and go to Settings. The version number will be at the bottom right of the window.
